The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Region 5 conducted an integration workshop on the Triple C (Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur and Catanduanes) Area Development Plan (ADP) on October 14, 2015 at NEDA regional office. The activity aimed to gather inputs from regional line agencies and local government units on the second draft of the Triple C ADP. It was attended by representatives from DOT, DBM, CAAP, PNP, PIA, DTI, PPA,DPWH, DA, and LGUs from Camarines Norte, Catanduanes, and IrigaCity.
Bicol region is committed to contribute 1.2 million in the tourist arrivals in 2016. To achieve the target, tourism alliance was forged between the three provinces. The Triple C ADP shall provide the basis for decision making that will allow LGUs in the alliance and the national government to address and build the capabilities needed for sustainable inclusive tourism growth. The plan addresses the primary concerns of connectivity and access, tourism product development, and governance that are crucial to sustainable tourism growth and development.
On October 28, 2015, there will be a public consultation with representatives from the provincial governments and the private sector to facilitate the preparation of the third draft of the plan.
